Ages 8-15: Youth Workshops

YOUTH WORKSHOPS

The Youth program offers the unique opportunity for every student to participate in every show, with no double casting. We do not mandate parent volunteer hours or require parents to purchase a certain number of tickets. We focus our musical theatre training by teaching the basics of singing, dancing, and acting. Our originally-written workshop shows culminate in a fun performance for the community, family, and friends.

In the Youth Workshops, there are no lead roles; everyone has lines, several dances, and songs to learn. Students experience working with adult "Guest Artists" who serve as mentors, many of whom are former students themselves. Students experience a full "tech week" with lights, live musicians, costumes, and props, which starts the Sunday before the show. And of course - the SHOWS!
Class Times: 5:00-8:00 p.m., one day a week.
Workshop Fee: $225.00 for a seven- week session.

The Saga of Sweet Hannah Sue

or You Can Lead a Cow to Town but it Sure Ain't Sweden

The villainous Salty Sam and his six siblings sweep out and surround Sweet Hannah Sue and her six Sven sisters. Gasp! The seven Svens are in turn rescued by Jim Dandy and his band of merry Mounties, thus saving the town of Savannah from sourness. Yay! Edge of the chair suspense and lots of laughs in this melodrama ensue while the lost and wandering Indians, the French lumberjacks, and the rusty dusty cow people try to help Hannah save her sweet milk cows.
