Our Mainstage Productions provide actors, both young and old, an opportunity to be on our beautiful stage. We welcome actors from all around the theatre community to come and join the RTAA family.
Age ranges vary according to production requirements. Auditions are required. Audition information may change depending on the type of show and parts may be pre-cast at the director's discretion.
It's Gala Audition time again! Auditions for Roseville Theatre Arts Academy's 5th Annual Champagne Gala are September 13th at 6:30pm. Directed and Choreographed by Christi Axelson and Musical directed by Erin Gabriele, we're looking forward to another night of inspiring music to celebrate all that Broadway is. This year’s theme is “Seasons of Love.” Think about the songs that speak to what love means to you. It’s going to be a night full of music that captures all the ups and downs—from first crushes and unforgettable dates to heartbreak, healing, deep friendships, unrequited love, and lasting connections! We'd like you to audition with 32 bars of a solo, or grab a friend and make it a duet, trio, quartet, quintet (you get the point) that you'd like to perform...or perhaps have performed and want to resurrect. We're looking for talented quick studies who are ready to make a beautiful night for our audience and want to include your creativity in the process if it fits with our vision.
Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach is now a musical for the whole family to enjoy! Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the Tony Award-nominated team of Pasek and Paul (Dogfight and A Christmas Story the Musical) and a curiously quirky book by Timothy Allen McDonald (Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley), critics rave: James and the Giant Peach is a "masterpeach!"
When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach... and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach, among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities, but after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James' quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building.
A delightfully offbeat adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure, the creative possibilities with James and the Giant Peach are endless. Actors will love playing the outlandish characters and performing brand new material from one of Broadway's hottest duos.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, celebration, and community at Roseville Theatre Arts Academy’s 6th Annual Champagne Gala! Every ticket purchase goes directly toward supporting our programming, daily operations, and the ongoing preservation of our beloved historic Roseville Theatre.
The evening begins with a sparkling soiree at 6:30pm. Guests with “Soirée & Performance” tickets will enjoy a glass of champagne or cider, gourmet treats made by our fabulous pastry chef Alisha Metcalf, a photo booth, and the chance to mix and mingle before the show. Don’t forget to take part in our raffles, featuring prizes generously donated by our supportive community.
Prefer to attend just the show? “Performance-Only” tickets are also available, with doors opening at 7:15pm. The performance begins promptly at 7:30pm, so make sure to arrive on time for this one-night-only celebration.

We will go beyond the Broadway stage and into the magic of the silver screen for a night of songs from movie musicals that have captured audiences’ hearts through unforgettable performances, spectacular storytelling, and cinematic magic. Directed and choreographed by Christi Axelson, with musical direction by Erin Gabriele, the evening promises an inspiring journey through Broadway’s most moving and magical music.
Audience members are encouraged to dress up and make the night a special occasion. Gather your friends and loved ones, and join us for a gala filled with laughter, music, and memories that will last a lifetime.
