Colton Archey

Artistic Director

Colton has been with RTAA since it’s beginning in 2011 as a Youth Instructor. After directing many different productions, he became the first full time employee to be hired at RTAA, as the Production Director in 2014. Since then, he has spent his time learning every aspect of running a working theatre. He has earned Elly Awards for Best Direction of a Musical for The Wizard of Oz in 2016 and Seussical in 2018. When not working at the theatre, he loves to go to the movies, read comics, playing video games, enjoying pro wrestling and most importantly, spending time with his two sons, Joshua and Austin.

Isabella Vega

Operations Manager

Isabella was first introduced to RTAA as a ten-year-old when she was cast in their 2013 production of Les Misérables, an experience she fondly credits with igniting her passion for theatre arts. She now handles the administrative side of things at RTAA, and you can find her daily in the box office. Isabella earned her bachelor’s degree in Drama, with a minor in Education, from the University of California, Irvine. She considers herself an advocate for educational theatre and values being part of a community-driven creative space. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, seeing as much theatre as possible, perusing antique stores, and rewatching her favorite movies over and over again.

Ken Duisenberg

Technical Director

Ken Duisenberg graduated from UC Davis, Stanford, and CSU Chico, with Bachelors and Masters degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.  He has been designing firmware for servers and network switches at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Roseville since 1995.  After performing in high school, he studied technical theater on the UC Davis and Music Circus tech crews, learning Stage Management, the fly-rail, and both Sound and Light design and operation.  He has had on- and off-stage roles at several theaters in the Roseville area, participating wherever his children are on stage, earning Elly nominations for acting and technical design.  In 2013, he began coordinating and teaching RTAA technicians and arranged for RTAA to enhance its productions with new equipment.   Ken continues to train adults and teens on RTAA’s state-of-the-art booth hardware: the ETC Ion lighting console, the Soundcraft Performer 3 digital mixer, and Qlab cue-based playback software.

Julie Duisenberg

Head Costumer

Julie and her family have been part of RTAA since day one. In the beginning, she was just a supporter who wanted the theatre to thrive, and a Mom/Wife that loved to watch her husband and children shine on stage. As her family’s involvement grew at the theatre and  her husband Ken (the RTAA Tech Director) spent more time at the theatre, her interest and involvement grew as well. She started helping the costumers with the simplest of costuming tasks. She never imagined that  one day she would become an RTAA Costumer! She loves the friendships, working with amazing casts and crews, and often having her family all in the building at the same time. Theatre has become a passion, and her favorite spectator sport, and she loves being a part of making shows come to life on the Roseville stage!

Jacob Lynch

House Manager

Jacob has been at RTAA since 2007, when they were in their first show, If Your Goat Faints Can You Still Get Eggnog, as a little one. Since then, this theater has been one of their favorite places in the world. Jacob has performed in and done lighting for many RTAA productions, and won an Elly award with Ken Duisenberg for lighting of RTAA’s 2018 production of Seussical. Jacob is now the house manager of RTAA, and enjoys welcoming people to the theatre. Outside of RTAA, Jacob is an accounting major at Sacramento City College. In Jacob’s free time, they enjoy airplane spotting, watching Disney movies, going to Disneyland, going on cruises, and taking trips to San Francisco.
